The Cloud 100 is an annual ranking of the top private / SaaS cloud companies in the world. The list is compiled by Forbes in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures. The Cloud 100 companies are selected based on a variety of factors, including revenue growth, market share, and leadership.

How many of these had layoffs? According to our analysis using data from WARN records and Layoffs.fyi, about 50%. 48 of the 2022 Cloud 100 companies had layoffs, while 52 have not.

Companies have laid off as much as 38% of their workforce.

Layoffs have happened across various tech hubs.

Bay area companies make up 46 of the Cloud 100. And 48% of the Bay Area Cloud 100 have had layoffs.

There are 4 Seattle based companies in the cloud 100, all of which have had layoffs.

Of the 13 New York area companies, 5 (38%) have had layoffs.
